Our purification process is environmentally friendly and rigorous, employing 13 different technologies in carefully sequenced stages to create the cleanest water you can buy. You’ll notice that step 5 employs Reverse Osmosis. Most reverse osmosis units waste between three to five gallons for every gallon of purified water made. Our system has been designed to be environmentally friendly; therefore, we only waste about one gallon for every gallon of purified water made. We have installed “check” valves and a back flow protection valves so the city “tap” water cannot contaminate the purified water.
STAGE 1: ION EXCHANGE
Eliminates corrosive scale on the RO membrane to prolong membrane life, and the ion exchange removes metals, radiation, etc.
STAGE 2: GRANULAR ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER
Removes chemicals such as chlorine, arsenic, pesticides, etc.
STAGE 3: SEDIMENT FILTER
Removes all sediments from the water.
STAGE 4: 200PSI BOOSTER PUMP
A special stainless steel pump pressurizes the water to about 200 psi so the pure water can pass through the RO membrane.
STAGE 5: REVERSE OSMOSIS MEMBRANE FILTRATION
Removes salts and other impurities from the city tap water, then the purified water is sent an FDA approved polyethylene holding tank. The impurities and waste of the “concentrate” is then disposed down the drain. However, our system recycles some of the waste water through the RO unit again, to save on water consumption and get the most purified water possible from the least amount of “tap” water.
STAGE 6: GRANULAR ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER
To polish the water just before going into the holding tank.
STAGE 7: OZONE RE-PRESSURE PUMP
pulls the water from the holding tank and pressurizes the water for the next stages.
STAGE 8: OZONE GENERATOR
This is the fastest and most thorough disinfection available for the water, while leaving no harmful residual in the water. Ozone is 3200 times faster than chlorine, yet reverts back to oxygen in a few hours.
STAGE 9: OZONE MIXING TANK
Allows for a thorough mixing of the Ozone into the water. The smaller the bubbles, the more useful the Ozone is in disinfecting the water. The Ozone treated water is then forwarded back into the holding tank where it also treats the water in the tank. The injection of Ozone is done at scheduled times throughout the day so the water in the tank never sits for long periods of time.
STAGE 10: RE-PRESSURE PUMP
Pulls the Ozone treated water from the holding tank to pressurize the water for the next stages.
STAGE 11: POST GRANULAR ACTIVATED CARBON
filtration takes place for “polish the water” to catch anything missed, and it picks up any taste or odors the water may have picked up from the tank or tubing.
STAGE 12: POST SEDIMENT FILTRATION
This is a 1 micron filter will pick up any residual that the water may have picked up from the equipment.
STAGE 13: ULTRAVIOLET DISINFECTION
acts as a secondary disinfection, and protects the pressure or “bladder” tank from the Ozone.
